R v K Birmingham Crown Court: VAT Fraud and Money Laundering

We represented the defendant, a man of previous good character.  he with others was charged with conspiring to defraud the HMRC.  The conspiracy alleged was sophisticated and complex.  We had to consider and analyse in detail in excess of 23,000 pages of evidence. The conspiracy involved defendants across England.  The value of the fraud was in the region of 2.4 million pounds.
